District Council 42 Meeting
to fill vacancies, including six At-Large Director positions and district-specific openings: HD 42-02 (two female delegate slots and two male alternate slots), HD 42-03 (two female delegate slots, four male alternate slots, and three female alternate slots), HD 42-01 (one delegate and one alternate), and HD 42-04 (one delegate and one alternate). The meeting will also fill delegate vacancies using alternates elected at the Biennial Elections, with priority given to alternates from the same precinct before considering alternates from other precincts within the district, and will fill alternate vacancies by appointing active members who expressed interest after the Biennial Elections giving preference to those residing in the precinct with a vacancy.
We will review our draft minutes of our March 25, 2026. We will try to fill our vacant delegate and alternate positions for the Democratic Party of Hawaii (DPH) State Convention on Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki at the Tapa Ballroom. AS necessary, we will move current alternate delegates to fill vacant delegate positions in the District. State Convention cost is $200, or an individual can apply for a waiver.
We will also attempt to fill our three vacant District Council positions and any of our ten vacant Oahu County Convention delegate positions. The County Convention is Saturday, April 25, 2026. Since County Convention registration ends Monday, April 20, 2026, we'll need to find out if late registration can be accepted if we fill any of these vacant positions.
